The Greatest Show on Earth!

(Well, at least on the East Coast!) Join us at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA February 6th – 14th for the 2010 Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show.

We'll be at booths 172 & 166 in the Fishing and Boating Hall (near the Copenhagen Girls, not that any of you will be looking for that!) with the latest canoes, kayaks, and paddling gear.

If it's made to be paddled, and made to catch fish or hunt ducks, you'll probably find it here. LOTS of new fishing related paddling gear, and we KNOW how much fishermen (and women) love gadgets!

Details on the show can be found at www.easternsportshow.com

Hint: We're working the show for 9 days, and really look forward to seeing folks who want to talk paddling as well as hunting & fishing! Hope to see you there!

BMO Skidplate Kits

Our pre-cut skidplates come in 4 sizes ranging in price from $16.95 to $20.95 per pair and they come with detailed installation instructions.

We sell the epoxy separately -- the epoxy kit for Royalex® canoes is $49.95 and the kit for Polyethylene canoes is $67.90.

The best tool for removing air bubbles is the corrugated roller ($9.95 each) and we would not even think of doing this job without a plastic spreader (2 1/2" $0.65 each.)

About our Retail Store:

·   We specialize as a full service paddlesports store.  We stock canoes, kayaks and all kinds of paddling accessories. We also stock repair, outfitting and rescue supplies, and some camping equipment.
·   We're not an "On-line" store nor are we trying to be one.  We're a brick and mortar business and with being located in an old train station, our bricks are thick.
·   We aren't a sports department store with big open spaces, in fact, visiting our store is a lot like spelunking; it's crowded with merchandise and you can find the neatest things hiding in the crevices or suspended from the ceiling.  Plan on taking some time to explore the largest paddle gear and accessory inventory in the area.

Canoe and Kayak Rental:

·   Enjoy the Susquehanna River as only a paddler can. Rent a canoe or kayak and take your family or friends on a trip down Central Pennsylvania's scenic Susquehanna River. Picnic or camp on one of the numerous islands; fish this world class smallmouth bass fishery; swim or wade in a secluded cove; or admire the abundant waterfoul and other river critters, including our favorite, turtles. Singles, couples, families, groups, and corporate functions are welcome.

River Tours and Parties:
·   Our River Tours and Parties are based on the use of our 22' War Canoe. Piloting and hosting services are provided by Blue Mountain Outfitters personnel.
·   Bird watching - Rockville Bridge watching - Photography - Parties.
·   No problems keeping up -- we're all in the same boat.
·   Great alternative for high water levels and high wind conditions.
Trailers:

·   Purchase a Blue Mountain Canoe and Kayak Trailer and haul a load.  Our trailers are very popular with livery, government and instructional institutions. We now have a smaller version that is more suitable to the individual and limited space applications.

Repair and Outfitting:

·   We can fix your boat, make it more comfortable, make it perform better -- our shop and technicians are available to repair or custom outfit your boat and gear. We also stock a full range of outfitting and repair materials for the do-it-yourselfer.

Paddling Lessons:

·   We have retired from teaching paddling lessons. Please check the Paddling Resource Links Page for links to area paddling schools.

RR Caution Notice: Blue Mountain Outfitters is located in the old Marysville Railroad Passenger Depot and the railroad tracks that are located immediately behind our building and parking lots are very active and very dangerous.

Do not park with any part of your vehicle extending past the parking lot lines. Do not turn your kids or pets loose behind our property. For that matter, do not leave them unsupervised anywhere around here -- the road out front is no safer than the railroad out back and we have a lot of vehicles with trailers moving and backing up on our lots. If you step past the parking lot lines or behind our building, you are trespassing on railroad property and the fines are very stiff -- they do not like killing people.

Frequently you cannot hear the trains approaching -- from years of train watching we know that this is not a myth. Worst of all, Amtrack uses these tracks and they always seem to be making up for lost time when they go past here.
